A door in a sentence

Here are your five words: door, moon, spoon, whisper, blue. Your challenge is to use all five in three sentences. The story can be silly, mysterious, or quiet.

Here is an original example: The blue door opened only when the moon was out. Behind it, a spoon balanced on a chair. “You are late,” came a whisper from the cupboard.

You do not need to explain everything at once. A beginning can give the reader one clear detail and one good question.
