Make a Pocket Museum on Paper

A drawing activity with objects you can safely observe.

Make & imagine · Original writing

A museum can begin with one sheet of paper. Draw four boxes and choose a familiar, safe object to draw in each: a spoon, a leaf you can see, a shoe, or a toy.

Write a label explaining one detail. Perhaps the spoon has a crooked reflection, or the toy has a worn wheel. You do not need to move or collect anything.

Give your paper museum a name. Then invent one question a visitor might ask. If you do not know the answer, write that it is a question to explore.

Show the page to someone you trust and ask which detail they noticed first.

Pause & wonder

Which ordinary object deserves a careful label?
