A review that changes the list

Use review time to update reality, not merely reread tasks.

Getting Things Done — David Allen

Reflection is a distinct stage in Allen’s public GTD workflow. Reviewing and updating the system makes the next action easier to choose from current information.

Our experiment: look at one short list. Remove completed items, rewrite one vague task as an action, and mark anything waiting for a reply. End by choosing the next useful step. If the review produces no change, ask whether the list represents the work you are actually doing.
