A satisfying finish that stays small

Mark a completed action without making the reward a new project.

Atomic Habits — James Clear

Clear includes a satisfying result in his habit-building framework. This note uses that broad idea to ask how a small action could have a clear ending.

Our experiment: after one page of reading, put a bookmark where you stopped and note a question you want to return to. The finish should be connected to the action, not a complicated reward system. Try it a few times, then decide whether the marker helps you resume.
